  • Story Text: Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone hopes that his side can take the lead in their UEFA Champions League last 16 second leg tie at Tottenham Hotspur and put the hosts in an even more “uncomfortable” position.
    Speaking on the eve (March 17) of the encounter in London, the Atleti boss also stressed that they will approach the match as it stands, but with a hope of building on their strong performance in the first leg where they claimed a 5-2 win.
    Despite holding a three-goal advantage, Atletico have suffered 3-0 losses away to Rayo Vallecano in LaLiga and Barcelona in the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final in recent weeks.
