- Story Text: BTS fans related to “growing up” with BTS as they waited eagerly for the comeback concert by Kpop supergroup BTS in Seoul on Saturday (March 21).
“So I like to see them growing up as well as I'm growing up,” said Anna Esquerre, a fan from Peru.
Marina Blanco Vacas, an exchange student from Spain, told Reuters she is happy as it is her first time seeing BTS in person as the group has never been to Spain.
Carriers distributed local newspaper extra copies on BTS with a map of the concert venue, details about each member and the supergroup’s new album ‘Arirang’ as authorities prepared for an estimated 260,000 fans to flood the city's streets and millions more in 190 countries to watch the show live on Netflix.
The one-hour-long concert, set to be held in the capital's historic Gwanghwamun Square, marks the release of the seven-member group's first new album in more than three years, and the start of a global tour in April.
Organizers of the concert gave away 22,000 free tickets, but the concert is open to non-ticket holders who will be able to watch the performance on Netflix via giant screens.
