- Story Text:Muslims in India on Friday (March 20) prayed for peace in the Middle East and in Sudan as thousands gathered to celebrate Eid.
One worshipper said he offered up "a special prayer for Gulf countries, because they are facing a crisis."
Thousands of people have been killed across the Middle East since the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran on February 28 and Iran launched strikes in response.
Th U.S.-Israeli war on Iran has sent global oil and gas prices soaring and has stoked fears about the impact on the global economy.
Muslims around the world celebrated Eid al-Fitr on Friday, which ends the fasting month of Ramadan.
