  • Story Text:    Displaced families in Lebanon on Thursday (March 26) were turning to a mobile laundry service to wash their clothes, as access to basic hygiene remains limited in temporary shelters.
        'Social Guidance,' an association known for its awareness and educational programs for children, youth, and parents, created the service to support families struggling to meet their basic needs.
        The group equipped a vehicle with eight washing machines, travelling almost weekly between shelters. The team collects clothes and washes them on-site.
        Israel launched an offensive against Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon after the group started firing rockets to avenge the killing of Iran's supreme leader at the start of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
        Israel's troops are clashing with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon and its warplanes have heavily bombed the south, the east and the capital Beirut. More than 1 million people have been displaced and more than 1,000 have been killed, including more than 120 children, 80 women and 40 medics, said Lebanon's health ministry. It does not otherwise distinguish between civilians and militants.
