- Story Text:Saturday (March 28) marks one year since a massive quake killed more than 3,000 in Myanmar, and 62 in Bangkok due to a building collapse.
The 7.7-magnitude quake, one of Myanmar's strongest in a century, jolted a region home to 28 million, toppling buildings such as hospitals, flattening communities and leaving many without food, water and shelter.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said that rebuilding of houses and essential services in Myanmar is still ongoing.
