- Story Text: Authorities in the U.S. have thwarted an alleged attack targeting New York-based pro‑Palestinian activist Nerdeen Kiswani, according to statements posted on social media on Friday (March 27).
Kiswani said the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force warned her of an imminent threat to her life and carried out an operation in Hoboken, New Jersey.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said an individual linked to an extremist group was allegedly building explosive devices to target Kiswani’s home.
New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said an NYPD undercover investigation tracked the suspect and led to his arrest before any harm occurred.
