  • Story Text:A Russian drone struck a residential building in Ukraine's Kharkiv, causing a large fire and injuring two women, regional governor Oleh Synyehubov said on Thursday (April 2).
        In his statement on the messaging app Telegram, Synyehubov said it was a "direct hit" on the multi-storey building.
        Two women obtained blast injuries in the strike, he added.
        The head of the Kharkiv city department of emergency situations, Bohdan Hladkykh, told Reuters it was the first time the city was attacked by Shahed drones equipped with propulsion engines. Reuters could not verify the claim.
