Summary:November 19 1977 - the seemingly impossible was happening - President Anwar Sadat of Egypt was arriving in Tel Aviv to set foot in peace on Israeli soil. He was met by Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin. Their joint efforts won them the Nobel Peace prize. President Sadat also addressed the Israeli Parliament - the Knesset - in Jerusalem during his visit.
