  • Story Text: East Timorese refugees who have fled their homeland to
    West Timor are facing increasing risks from a lack of water
    and food.

    The plastic tent city in Kupang, West Timor is what
    thousands of East Timorese now call home.

    But this home, far from the humanitarian aid of the
    international community, is far from sweet.

    Clean water supplies are drying up and refugees must
    queue for hours to get their ration.

    While local aid organisations are getting through to the
    refugees, international aid agencies say not enough is being
    done.
