- Story Text: Bosnian Serb refugees fled for their lives on Tuesday (June 13) from the Croatian shelling of the Bosansko Grahovo area near the Croatia border.
They came from Bosnian Serb villages around Bosansko Grahovo and the town itself. Many, mainly women with children and elderly people, found shelter in Resenovci village, 15 kilometres (9 miles) north of Bosansko Grahovo.
A few managed to find shelter in houses and those who could not slept in tractor carts and on the ground.
The shelling came from Croatian positions on Mount Dinara, where they gained some territory during their last offensive.
An elderly man said that he had to move time and time again to avoid the fighting. He said: "When we were pushed, I first came to Vrbica, from Vrbica to Bastaje, from Bastaje to Grahovo, then I came here. For the fifth move, I came here".
