- Story Text: INTRO: Several hundred residents of the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Jordan have been holding protests against the visit to the Israeli Knesset by two Jordanian members of Parliament.
The demonstrators marched through the streets of the Baqa refugee camp on Friday (December 26), chanting slogans against the two parliament members, Mohammad Rafat and Hamadah Faraneh. They called for and end to the normalization of Israeli-Jordanian ties.
Israel and Jordan signed a formal peace agreement 1994, but relations have been strained over Israel's delayed implementation of its peace agreements with the Palestinian Authority.
