- Story Text: Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim on Monday (February 20) downplayed media speculation that he was set for a move to the Premier League, telling reporters that we was part of a "project" at his club.
Media reports have linked Jardim with a potential move to Arsenal should incumbent manager Arsene Wenger, himself a former Monaco coach, leave in the summer when his contract expires.
Speaking in Manchester ahead of his side's Champions League round-of-16 tie with Manchester City, Jardim acknowledged that the Premier League would entice any coach, but insisted he was looking to the immediate future with Monaco.
"I think that all coaches and all players like playing to the highest level, in England today it's a very important championship, maybe the most important in Europe and everybody would like one day to have the opportunity to work here. But, as Fabinho said, we are also up for working at a club like Monaco, we have a project, we have a duty with this club and for me because of the respect I have for the club, now I'm (giving) 200 per cent," Jardim said.
The 42-year-old Venezuelan coach has guided his side to the top of the French league with 59 points from 26 matches, three points ahead of champions PSG.
