The events, organized by Chile's Homosexual Movement (MOVILH) was on full display in front of the Presidential Palace known as la Moneda.
This is the first Gay Pride parade in Chile and we decided to do it in front of La Moneda as a way of celebrating 15 years since MOVILH, 15 years of the Homosexual Movement in Chile," said Jimenez. "We are proud of what we have volunteered to do in those 15 years. In those 15 years we have changed the face of discrimination. Today, people who are homosexuals, lesbians and transgenders have a better quality of life."
Approximately 2,000 people participated in the event. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
