- Story Text: Kuwait's Emir Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah arrived on Sunday (May16) in Damascus in an official visit as a part of his tour to Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad discussed with Emir Sabah, the bilateral relations as well as the latest developments in the Middle East.
Syria and Kuwait signed six agreements in different fields, reported Syrian Arab News Agency SANA.
Syria and Kuwait started to promote tourism between them through establishing many investments the capital of some of which reach 200 million U.S. dollars.
The economic and commercial relations have been growing during the latest years.
According to the Syrian Investments Assembly, the Kuwaiti investments in Syria reached 37 projects between the years 1991 and 2009. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
