- Story Text: A Free Syrian Army general on Tuesday (February 28) told Reuters television the FSA had received 'French and American assistance'.
When asked to clarify, the general, who did not wish to be named, said the FSA had received weapons and anti-aircraft missiles. Reuters television is unable to independently verify the general's identity.
"French and American assistance has reached and is with us and God willing we will be able to do this," said the general.
The reporter asks "Just to be clear, weapons or something else?"
"Yes, it has arrived. We now have weapons and anti-aircraft missiles and God willing with all of that, we will defeat Bashar," the general responds.
