- Story Text: Residents of the northern Syrian town of al Jinah in Aleppo province accuse Syrian troops of firing indiscriminately on their town after three people were killed and a fourth wounded, when their car was hit by a mortar shell.
Syrian troops were accused of firing indiscriminately in their battle against rebel forces after three members of a family were killed and another seriously wounded when their car was hit by a mortar shell.
"Two brothers and their uncles were killed another uncle is between life and death. What is the fault of this village to be hit with these shells, 10 shells on daily basis and this village does not have any sign of armed groups? (We are targeted) only because we called for freedom," an unnamed resident of al Jinah in Aleppo province said, in a video obtained by Reuters.
The video shows what appears to be the aftermath of a shelling attack.
Residents are seen carrying the bodies of two of those killed during their funeral.
The residents chant anti-Assad slogans.
After a week of battles between President Bashar al-Assad's forces and his opponents in Damascus, fighting has intensified in Aleppo, a more populous commercial city that long seemed immune to the 16-month-old uprising. - Copyright Holder: AMATEUR VIDEO (CAN SELL)
