- Story Text: Residents of a village in Syria's Idlib province sift through the rubble of their homes, demolished in aerial bombardment government forces, video obtained by Reuters shows.
Residents of Hazzano, near the Syrian town of Idlib, vowed on Saturday (August 25) to continue their fight against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad despite air bombardment of their village.
Video obtained by Reuters shows footage of the villagers picking through the rubble of destroyed homes after an attack.
One resident of the village, which is 12 kilometres north of Idlib, said their fight against Assad would continue despite air assaults.
"Listen Bashar, if you hit us not only with rockets or planes but with chemicals, we will do everything, sell our bread to buy bullets and kill you. Our revolution is continuing," Abdul Mueen said.
Government forces have been using fighter jets to bombard areas under rebel control in the northern provinces of Aleppo and Idlib and in the eastern region of Deir al-Zor.
On Friday (August 24) Syrian troops forced rebels to abandon a battered Damascus suburb in the latest battle of an intensifying civil war that the U.N. refugee agency said had prompted more than 200,000 people to flee the country. - Copyright Holder: AMATEUR VIDEO (CAN SELL)
