- Story Text: Heavy gunfire was audible along the Turkey-Syria border near the Syrian town of Haram on Saturday (November 3).
Rebels surrounded and besieged the strategic town two weeks ago.
The ensuing battle has been fierce for the city residents are mostly government loyalists.
After a day of short pause, gunfire could be heard again on Thursday (November 1) in the town from Turkey's Besaslan village and on Saturday smoke was rising over the hills.
