- Story Text: Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki meets with Evo Morales in La Paz, Bolivia.
Manuchehr Mottaki, Iran's foreign minister, was in La Paz, Bolivia on Wednesday (August 12) to show his support for the government of Evo Morales.
Relations between Bolivia and Iran have been close since the signing of a 2007 mutual cooperation accord.
"Once the accord was signed (a mutual cooperation accord signed between Bolivia and Iran in September 2007) we began to work on the implementation of a petrochemical industrial complex in the north of the country," said David Choquehuanca, Bolivia's foreign minister. n For his part, Mottaki expressed Iran's continued commitment to support the government of President Evo Morales.
