- Story Text: All five gold medalists of the 2012 U.S. Women's Olympic Gymnastics team performed the last show in the Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions on Sunday (November 18) in Brooklyn.
Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Jordyn Wieber, Kyla Ross and McKayla Maroney along with other members of the U.S. Olympic gymnastics team performed routines on the bars, floors and beam for thousands of fans.
The tour has taken the team to 40 cities and included a stop at the White House on Thursday (November 15) where the group met with President Barack Obama.
Before the final show lines were long as fans waited to enter the arena to see their favorite member of the "Fierce Five."
Sara Knight traveled almost four hours with her family to see the show.
"It's an amazing sport," she said.
"You have to be so talented and dedicated to get, especially where these girls, you know making it to the Olympics. And I think people are just amazed to see what your body can do when you train it to do specific things," Knight said.
Jordan Sack from Farmingdale, New York, has been practicing gymnastics since she was three-years-old.
"I'm excited pretty much to see everyone because they're all just amazing gymnasts and they're really fun to watch."
Her friend Jordan Messiel said she was excited too.
"Me and my friends are going to watch some great, amazing gymnasts today and we're so excited to watch gymnastics. We've been gymnasts for a long time," Messiel said.
Young Logan Fosu was thrilled when she found out her mom Stella surprised her with tickets to the show. She said she is a fan of Gaby Douglas', because she is "a good role model, very good at gymnastics."
Nine-year-old Olivia Ham said she looks up to gold medalist Jordyn Wieber "because she's really good at gymnastics and she's a good role model."
After the tour Douglas, Raisman and Wieber will go on to participate in another tour, Teen Choice Live, which kicks off December 28th. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
