- Story Text: Life at Frankfurt Airport is slowly returning to normal after many flights were cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
Passengers still have to endure long queues and delays but according to the airport things will get back to normal during the course of Wednesday (December 22).
All runways were back in use, said an airport spokesman, and almost all yesterday's delays were being dealt with.
Despite the fact that things were running smoothly at Frankfurt Airport, there were still some 60 cancelled flights due to severe weather conditions at the destinations.
The airport said it had tried to accommodate over 3,500 passengers affected.
Frankfurt Airport, Germany's largest, reopened on Tuesday (December 21) after fresh snowfall grounded early flights and caused others to be re-routed to Munich in the south, spokespeople said. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
