  • Story Text: More England and Portugal fans have descened on the western German city of Gelsenkirchen on Saturday morning (July 1) where the two countries meet for the World Cup quarter-final at 5 p.m. (1500 GMT).
    An England fan expressed confidence that his country will beat Portugal "thanks to Gerrard, Beckham and Lampard.
    England supporter Ian Phil asekd "Figo is 50 years old now, is he?," adding "all he can do is head-butt people."
    Instead, Philp said, England had to offer "quality: Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, the list goes on and on, Rooney."
    Meanwhile, security guards were seen seraching garbage cans outside and around Gelsenkirchen's stadium for any suspicious objects hours before the game was to kick off.
