- Story Text: Following the phenomenal success of her debut single "Kiss the Rain", Billie Myers is releasing her second single "Tell Me" accompanied by an x-rated video! Four years ago, Billie Myers was working for an insurance company, now she is an internationally successful recording artist.
The Coventry-born singer/songwriter burst into the charts, first in America and then in the UK with her power-pop ballad "Kiss the Rain" which reached number 15 in the Billboard Hot 100, and went straight in at number four in her home country.
Now she is hoping to prove her worth with a second single "Tell Me".The promotional video for the song is sure to stand out, as Myers unleashes a mass of fantasy characters upon an unsuspecting public.
She was keen that the video should capture the meaning of the lyrics and enrolled the services of Rebecca Blake who has directed many of Prince's videos. There are two versions of the video, one for commercial TV and an even steamier version.
The 27 year old spent some of her childhood in foster care, and admits that her upbringing often colours her music.
Her songwriting is often fuelled by her own emotional experiences which gives her music a disarming passion and power.
Although at the moment she is probably better recognised in the United States where she has played a string of live dates, she is keen for success in the UK and readily admits that her most exciting interview to date was with the Coventry Evening Telegraph because that is the paper her father reads. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
