- Story Text: After the huge success of the "Come Find Yourself" Album, the Fun Lovin' Criminals are back with "100% Columbian", a new album which showcases their jazzy blend of hip-hop and humour.
The first offering from the album is the current single "Love Unlimited", a tribute to the Colossus of bump 'n' grind, Barry White. The band's lead singer, Huey, fondly remembers his teenage babysitter playing Barry White's records and opening his eyes to the wonderful world of women.
Fans of the first album, "Come Find Yourself" will find the new songs packed full of the Fun Lovin' Criminals' trademark themes, namely crime and New York City.Huey is glad of the opportunity to express himself, and tends to write about what he knows best.He considers himself a New Yorker rather than an American, and the ex-Marine admits that he will never be "a good boy" Huey and his parters in crime, Fast and Steve, got together in 1993, and have taken the music world by storm with their "take no prisoners" attitude and up to the minute take on a jazz and blues sound married with 90's technology.
They've also shown off asurprisingly sophisticated side with mellow cover versions of the Louis Armstrong classic "We Have All The Time In The World" and 10CC's "I'm Not In Love" The new album, "100% Columbian" proves that F.L.C.have lost none of their sense of humour. It hits the shelves in the UK this week (August 24). - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
