    The head of the United Nations Works and Relief Agency (UNWRA) visited the troubled Dehaisha refugee camp near Bethlehem on June 18. Commissioner General Giorgio Giacomelli's visit came after tension and violence between refugees and Jewish settlers from nearby Kiryat Arb. A week before his visit a two-day curfew was imposed on the camp, followed by a night of rioting by Jewish settlers who fired shots into Palestinian houses and set fire to cars. After Giacomelli inspected the camp he commented that the situation had not improved and soldiers were trying to prevent further incidents.
