- Story Text: United Nations observers are now on their way to the Suez Canal area where today (Saturday) there has been more heavy fighting. The chief United Nations truce observer in the Middle East, Lieutenant-General Odd Bull, returned to Cairo today with four observers following his talks with Israeli Defence Minister, General Moshe Dayan.
General Odd Bull flew to Tel Aviv from Cairo yesterday and went directly to the Israeli Defence Ministry for talks with General Dayan.
During the 75 minute meeting General Dayan complained to General Odd Bull about what he described as fierce Egyptian shelling and asked him to report to the U.N. Secretary-General, U Thant, the breach of the ceasefire.
After the talks the Israeli Defence Minister told reporters that the ceasefire observers would take up their posts in the canal area tomorrow.
