  • Story Text: The English National Opera Company has launched a truly international project -- the opera "Bomarzo" which has its British premiere this week. Based on an Italian Renaissance character, the libretto and music are by Argentines, the artistes are British, the set designer an Australian and the opera was originally commissioned by the Washington Opera Society in 1966.

    SYNOPSIS: Anthony Besche's production will be presented in London's Coliseum Theatre. Argentine composer Alberto Ginastera -- accompanied by his wife. 'cellist Aurora Natola -- talks of the opera, its stars, and his part.
