- Story Text: The Polish Foreign Minister, Mr. Stefan Olszowski, bitterly attacked what he described as the "acts of terror and violence" in Chile, the United Nations on Thursday (27 September). Mr. olszowski was speaking for Poland at the 28th General Assembly.
He devoted most of his speech to ways of fostering the growing detente between East and West. But events in Chile, he said, were a blow to establishing any kind of cavilled values in the world. The government of Marxist President Salvador Allende has recently been overthrown.
