  • Story Text: Israeli aircraft fired missiles into the central Gaza Strip on Friday (May 25), hitting a position used by the ruling Hamas Islamist movement, residents said.
    Two missiles hit the position used by Hamas Executive Force shortly after it was struck by a salvo of four missiles.
    An Israeli army spokesman confirmed the attack was targeted at a Hamas position. Hamas sources and witnesses said six missiles were used in all.
    Hospital officials said that four civilians were wounded in the secondary attack, including a reporter working for a pro-Hamas radio station. The hospital officials said none of the injuries were serious.
    The attack followed a series of seven overnight air strikes which rocked the Gaza Strip early on Friday, targeting several Hamas and Islamic Jihad positions.
