Story Text: Several explosions shook central Tripoli after midnight on Saturday (July 30) as NATO bombardment targeted the area around Muammar Gaddafi's Bab al-Aziziyah compound.
The compound, which is in the vicinity of military sites, is a regular target of air strikes on Tripoli.
The strikes occurred around 01:00 am local time.
A plume of white smoke was seen rising from the area.
