- Story Text: Israeli airstrike causes damage in a refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Israeli warplanes struck the Gaza Strip on Saturday (February 26), causing damage in al Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Witnesses said Israeli warplanes flew over the Gaza Strip in the early hours of the morning and struck the refugee camp.
An Israeli army spokesperson said that the Israeli military struck the Gaza Strip in response to rockets fired into southern Israel during the day.
Palestinian militants have stepped up cross-border rocket attacks on southern Israel in recent weeks and Israel has responded with air strikes.
