- Story Text: Israeli missiles that struck a Hamas security position in the southern Gaza Strip killed two Hamas naval police officers on Wednesday (November 28), a Hamas security source and Palestinian medical workers said. Dozens of Palestinians rushed to a nearby hospital in the southern town of Kahn Younis, urgently wheeling the casualty into the ER to receive medical treatment. The Israeli army was checking the report. The violence came as Israeli and Palestinian leaders convened for a final round of talks in Annapolis, Maryland after pledges to launch renewed peace talks on Palestinian statehood. Israel considers Gaza an enemy and launches regular raids into the coastal territory to try to curb rockets fired onto Israeli towns by Palestinians militants.
