- Story Text: Israeli aircraft attacked two targets in Gaza early on Thursday (February 16), in response to a series of Palestinian rocket launches into Southern Israel.
According to a written statement released by the army, Israeli planes attacked two sites in Gaza being used by armed militants. Television pictures showed a series of buildings damaged during the raid.
Local Palestinian media reported that between four and six people were injured in the air raid. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, an ambulance was also damaged during the second strike.
Israel's airforce launched the raid after Palestinian militants fired rockets into Southern Israel, towards the coastal city of Ashkelon. No injuries were reported. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
