- Story Text: The Israeli army killed two Palestinian militants planting bombs near the Gaza border early on Thursday (March 23), Israeli and Palestinian officials said.
"Overnight our forces identified three Palestinians planting bombs near the border fence. There was an airstrike and the targets were hit," an army spokeswoman said.
The militant Islamic Jihad group confirmed that two of its members were killed overnight during "a mission of Jihad".
The third militant apparently escaped.
