- Story Text: Lufthansa said on Friday (April 04) the three-day walkout by pilots that has effectively grounded Germany's largest airline would cost it in the region of 35-75 million euros, although it would take a few more days to calculate the final amount.
"The consequences of this strike are devastating," Kay Kratky, Chief Operating Officer of Lufthansa German Airlines, told reporters.
The airline also called on the pilots to come back to the negotiating table, although said it would not be putting forward a new offer.
"No, at this time we will not make a new offer. On the basis of the present details we will take up the talks. I said it earlier: I am convinced that there is enough substance here to develop solutions, looking at things from different perspectives," Kratky said. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
