- Story Text: Iraqis have condemned Thursday's United States (U.S.) air strikes against Sudan, branding it "a defeated land".
In Baghdad on Friday (August 21), during prayers, America was described as "the infidel that hit the land of the good".
Reactions were strong with one man appealing to a "worldwide" "No" to America.
The United States blasted cruise missiles on Thursday at what President Bill Clinton said were bases for "terrorists" in Afghanistan and Sudan plotting fresh attacks after bombings of U.S.embassies in Africa.
Seven people were injured after the missiles razed a factory in Khartoum which the United States said produced chemical weapons.Sudan said the factory, about 20 km (12 miles) north of Khartoum, made medicines.
