- Story Text: The latest bomb blasts in Argentina, suffering from a long wave of anarchy, have been aimed at Jewish centres.
SYNOPSIS: Bombs in Buenos Aires, the capital of the troubled nation, exploded at two synagogues and the Jewish Medical Centre on Thursday (26 August). One of the bombs injured anyone. The explosions followed an attack on Jewish areas of the city a month ago, when a dozen Jewish business, mostly shops, had their windows shattered by bullets in a dawn raid by unidentified gunmen. After the synagogue explosions, communist slogans were found painted on walls in red.
Thursday's explosions followed complaints two weeks earlier by leaders of the Jewish community in Buenos Aires to the Information Minister, about the circulation in the city of Nazi and other anti-semetic literature. The incidents also coincided with the fourth anniversary of the beginning of the current wave of anarchy four years ago, when 17 urban guerrillas were killed by government security forces.
