- Story Text: A total of 281 migrants from Eritrea, Ethiopia and Sudan arrived by boat in Malta from Libya on Tuesday (March 29).
They disembarked in Cirkewwa in the north of Malta.
Malta has appealed to the international community for assistance in dealing with the current influx of illegal immigrants.
According to local media, Maltese Foreign Minister Tonio Borg, speaking at the London meeting on Libya, said that the international community in general and the European Union in particular could not ignore the illegal immigration problem caused by the conflict. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
