- Story Text: Amateur video shot by a British lorry driver on Wednesday (September 3) shows migrants in Calais attempting to board lorries.
The footage was shot by driver Mark Salt, who also witnessed the incident.
It came as scores of illegal immigrants tried to force their way onto an England-bound ferry, according to officials and witnesses.
According to the BBC, the migrants tried to gain access to the ferry by running up the main ramp but were stopped after the crew fired a hose at them.
It is estimated that there are over 1,000 illegal migrants in the French town who are attempting to travel to Britain. Recently, the mayor of Calais Natacha Bouchart asked for Britain's help in controlling the scores of migrants now in her city.
