- Story Text: North Vietnam's chief negotiator Le Duc Tho left Paris on Friday (15 December) after ten days of Vietnam peace talks with United States envoy Dr. Henry Kissinger. On his departure, Le Duc Tho said he would maintain contact with Dr. Kissinger in the search for a Vietnam ceasefire agreement.
Speaking at Orly Airport in Paris, the Hanoi emissary said that he and Dr. Kissinger had agreed to make no comment on the private negotiations they have had.
Mr. Tho was asked whether he would return to Paris soon, but said he had not yet fixed the date.
Dr. Kissinger has already reported to President Nixon on his latest ceasefire negotiations with Le Duc Tho. He left Paris on Wednesday night.
Both countries have left expert groups behind to continue talks at a lower level on detailed matters.
