- Story Text: Negotiators in the Korean peace talks have moved to the mediaeval Swiss Alpine village of Gruyere where they hope to hammer out a deal on the future mechanics of the peace process.
The negotiators continued talking aboard a luxury Swiss excursion bus on Thursday (March 19) during the 90-minute drive from Geneva, where they opened this second round in three months on Monday.
The outing was proposed by the Swiss hosts of the talks.
Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Chen Jian said he thought the informal atmosphere in Gruyeres, world famous for its cheese, was good for the negotiations.
As the informally dressed diplomats chatted and strolled around cobbled streets, they took souvenir photographs of the hilltop village.
Earlier, they visited a Swiss cheese farm and had a sip of wine and a bit of Gruyere cheese.
