  • Story Text: Thousands of Israelis have marched in support
    of the peace process in a Tel Aviv demonstration.



    Thousands of left-wing Israelis expressed their
    support for the faltering peace process in a demonstration
    in Tel Aviv on Saturday (September 20).

    The demonstrators who marched from Rabin Square to the
    Defence office carried burning torches and waved peace
    banners calling the Israeli government to pull out from the
    West Bank and halt the Israeli occupation.

    "We are demonstrating against the suppression and
    against the occupation of the West Bank from 1967. We are
    intent to bring peace and to maintain it in the Middle
    East," said demonstrator Ami Sorek.
