  • Story Text: The visiting amateur Uruguayan University soccer side National Universiterio finished their tow match tour of Ghana with another defeat on Sunday (26 May) when they lost 0-3 to Asante Kotoko of Kumasi.

    They had been beaten 3-1 by Ghanaian side Akotox in their first game.

    The supreme Council for Sport in Africa invited the Uruguayan amateur side to tour several African countries after the African-Latin American Games in Mexico last year. They will play in Nigeria and Cameroun and tour Europe before returning home.

    Kotoko built their attacks on the bumpy Kumasi Sports Stadium pitch more quickly than National Univeriterio. Kotoko took the lead ten minutes before half time when Lawal scored after a goalmouth scramble.

    Kotoko added two more goals in the last quarter of an hour. Their captain Malik put a left foot shot inches inside Univrsiterio goalkeeper Doninguel's left hand post and Kofi scored the third and final goal with a long shot which flew over Doninguel.
