- Story Text: Five civilians were wounded when a bomb exploded in Nasr Square in the Baghdad's thoroughfare of Al-Saadoun on Sunday (October 1), police said.
They said that the bomb targeted a passing patrol of the Iraqi army, police said, adding that the army survived the attack.
In a separate incident, a bomb targeting a passing convoy of Iraqi police in Sarafiya district in central Baghdad, killing one civilian and wounding five people, including two policemen
"I run out of gasoline, so I parked the car on the beginning of the bridge. My wife was with me and I told her to wait till I get gasoline I took the jerry can to bring gasoline from the petrol station, and suddenly I heard an explosion. I returned back and I saw my car and this car damaged," said Saadi Karim.
At least three cars were damaged in the blast, which took place in a busy street.
