Story Text: A roadside bomb exploded close to a British military convoy on Friday, (December 29) in the southern Iraqi city of Basra, wounding at least one British soldier, witnesses said.
The attack, which took place in All-Khaseeb area south of Basra, 550 km south of Baghdad.
Television footage showed two British military vehicles on fire and smoke billowing from them as soldiers cordoned off the area.
The attack took place one day after a British soldier was killed by a roadside bomb while on patrol near Basra.
