- Story Text: Militants in Pakistan launched a rocket-propelled grenade at trucks loaded with fuel and other supplies for NATO forces in Afghanistan late on Thursday (December 8) sending some 29 vehicles up in flames.
The vehicles had been parked near Quetta since Pakistan stopped supplies to NATO forces in retaliation to an attack that killed 24 soldiers in a military outpost.
On Friday (December 9) morning, smoke still rose from more than two dozen burnt-out shells of the oil tankers Thousands of trucks loaded with supplies are now parked in various locations across Pakistan.
Idle drivers of trucks carrying fuel and other supplies to the neighbouring country fear being attacked by Pakistani Taliban militants who oppose cooperation with NATO. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
