- Story Text: Dozens of holidaymakers, mainly from Russia and Hungary waited for their planes at the airport in the Bulgarian tourist resort of Burgas on Thursday (July 19) anxious to go home after the previous day's suicide bombing of a tourist bus which killed six Israelis and wounded 30 more.
Airport authorities told tourists they would be at the airport until midnight. Officials were setting up portable toilets and tents for stranded travellers.
"It is simply an outrageous act. I don't know. I have no words. I am sorry for the people who were hurt, who were killed." Russian tourist Zana said.
But Silard from Hungarian capital Budapest, would most probably come back next year.
"I think we will come back, next year as well, I am not afraid to much, it could have happened anywhere in the world, yes."
Others were clearly frustrated by an enforced wait under the hot sun.
"We sympathise, we understand everything but airport administration is supposed to be working more efficiently, particularly under these circumstances. Just think of these people who can die from heat-stroke, heart attack, blood pressure," said Rubof Ivanova, a Russian tourist.
Israel has blamed Iran for the bombing and has promised a strong response to "Iranian terror". The incident was not reported by Iranian media and there was no immediate Iranian reaction to the Israeli accusation.
The blast occurred on the 18th anniversary of a bomb attack at the headquarters of Argentina's main Jewish organisation that killed 85 people and the Argentine government blamed on Iran, which denied responsibility. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
