  • Story Text: Gunmen attacked a minibus carrying Iraqi workers in the centre of Mosul city on Sunday (April 16), killing seven workers and wounding three others, police said.
    A police official said he suspected they were killed because the worked for the police department.
    Mosul, about 400 km (290 miles) north of Baghdad, is Iraq's third largest city.
    It has experienced an increase in violence since November last year, when many insurgents holed up in Falluja fled north ahead of a U.S. offensive. END
