- Story Text: At least 12 civilians were wounded when a roadside bomb exploded near an Iraqi police patrol in central Baghdad early on Sunday (February 12), police said.
The attack took place in al-Bataween neighbourhood of central Baghdad.
"An explosion occurred near this building (points) at 0500 a.m. (0200GMT), causing many casualties among those civilians. Look at the damages in the building, the wounded were taken to the hospital," Hamza Talib, a witness said.
The wounded were immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment.
