- Story Text: Local police officials said that gunmen killed five policemen and one child and also wounded 18 people in a common rebel tactic attack on Monday (January 16) in al-Miqdadia about 40 km (24 miles) east of Baquba.
Police added that when reinforcement arrived at the site of the attack, a car bomb, which was left near a roadside exploded next to them, wounding another five policemen.
Most of the wounded were taken to Baquba hospital .
